We are often in awe of those who accomplish amazing feats, triumph over adversity, or dare to go on what appears to be rugged adventures.
But how often do we stop to ask how they got there?
They got there through the spirit of resilience, an attribute one must cultivate to succeed.
Building resiliency does not happen in a day. It is a lifelong process.
How do you respond when life challenges you while working towards specific goals?
Do you fold your hands and give up, or stop, vent, and then look at how to move forward, even if it means making some changes?
In the past few days, Nigerians have watched as one of their own traveled seven continents in 71 hours. Alma Asinobi attempted to beat the Guinness World Record, but traveling with a Nigerian passport had challenges, and she encountered many.
There were times she could have given up, but she pushed through and found alternatives to get her to her destination
Was she tired? Yes, but nothing is as sweet as completing a mission or an adventure you started.
So, next time you confront a challenge, remember you have a choice. You can quit or pause and then bounce back by finding an alternative route to your desired destination.
